The Construction Process of Bailey Bridge

1. In the construction of bailey bridge, bailey truss shall be installed first. Installation of bailey truss: the bailey truss shall be assembled on the rock which is pushed out from the shore, and one end of the truss shall be placed on the rock, and the other end shall be placed on the temporary cushion wood.

2. The Yin and Yang heads of truss members must be the same. Place the first beam behind the front vertical bar, and install two rows of holes in the bottom surface of the beam into the bolts on the bottom beam backing plates of the two truss members respectively.

3. Install the second section of the truss, and at the same time, install the bailey on the previous section of the truss beam with diagonal braces. Install the upper beam behind the vertical bar at the front end of the second section of the truss, clamp it gently with the beam clamp, do not tighten it for the time being, and then tighten it after the diagonal brace on the beam is installed.

4. Install the third section of the truss, install the wind-resistant pull bar on the first section of the truss, and install the diagonal brace on the beam of the second section of the truss. The truss is installed in turn and four trusses are installed as the truss.

5. The bridge needs traction. During the traction process, unified command, consistent steps and coordinated operation should be achieved, and the operation of rollers and bridge should be checked at any time.

6. After the bridge is advanced to a certain position, remove the truss, push the lower chord of the bridge with the jack, check the bailey panel and tighten all the frame, transom clamp and sway brace.
