The installation of Bailey trusses is a complex and meticulous process, involving multiple steps and precautions. The following are some crucial installation steps and precautions:

Preparation Work:

Assemble the Bailey truss pieces on the ground according to the designed number and group them for connection.
Mark the positions of each group of Bailey trusses on the I-beam crossbeam at the designed spacing with paint.

Hoisting Bailey Trusses:

Use a crane to hoist the pre-connected Bailey trusses into position, usually starting from the middle and then the sides.
Fix the Bailey trusses on the crossbeam with self-made U-shaped clamps.

Unloading Scheme:

The unloading process needs to be carried out uniformly and sequentially to prevent the impact caused by sudden load release.
After each level of unloading, it is necessary to observe and record the elastic recovery of the Bailey trusses.

Support Erection:

The steel pipe columns adopt spiral steel pipes with a diameter of Φ1020mm, and the bottom is welded with steel plates and fixed with expansion bolts.
The crossbeams are made of I-beams. To avoid the movement of the crossbeams, grooves need to be made on the steel pipe piles and fully welded for connection.
The optimal force-bearing fulcrums of the Bailey beams are at the joints, 1/4, and 3/4 of the length, and should not be set at the middle.

Safety Measures:

The Bailey trusses should be reliably connected with U-bolts, channel steels, and flower frames to ensure no dislocation during force application.
All measurement and record data must be reported to the test guidance team on the same day, and any abnormal problems found on site must be reported promptly.
