The work process typically follows the sequence: "install transverse beams first, then longitudinal beams, and finally lay the decking panels," as detailed below:

Install Transverse Distribution Beams: This is the first step in setting up the bridge structure. Position the transverse distribution beams at the designed spacing above the top chord of the Bailey beams, securing them with dedicated connectors (see details below).

Install Longitudinal Distribution Beams: On the fixed transverse beams, install longitudinal distribution beams or wooden supports at the specified spacing, connecting them securely to the transverse beams.

Lay the Bridge Decking: Place the decking panels (such as checkered steel plates) onto the longitudinal or transverse distribution beams. Leave expansion joints of 5–30 mm between adjacent panels according to specifications, allowing for thermal movement and facilitating installation.

Secure the Decking Panels: Firmly attach the decking panels to the underlying distribution beams using bolts, clips, or welding.

Install Ancillary Structures: After the decking is laid, immediately install safety features such as guardrails, toe boards, and anti-slip strips.
