Loading Method (Core Steps)
The most common loading method is "vertical loading," which utilizes the inherent structure of the Bailey panels by placing them vertically or nearly vertically. This approach saves the most space and ensures maximum stability.

Lay the Base Padding:

Place multiple pieces of square lumber parallel to each other on the container floor. This serves to:

Create bottom space for easy insertion and extraction of forklift tines or slings.

Prevent direct contact between the cargo and any accumulated water on the container floor (e.g., due to condensation).

Distribute weight evenly and protect the container floor.

Grouping and Bundling:

Outside the container, bundle the Bailey panels into groups of 6, 8, or 10 pieces (the exact number depends on panel specifications and container width). Secure each group tightly with bundling straps. Ensure all connecting holes are aligned and the structure is compact.

Loading into the Container:

Method 1: Side Loading via Forklift (Most Common)

Use a forklift to insert the bundled Bailey panels vertically through the container door.

The operator must precisely control the placement, ensuring each group is positioned tightly against the previous one.

The first group should be placed flush against the innermost wall of the container.

Method 2: Hoisting

If the forklift lacks sufficient capacity or site conditions permit, use a crane. Thread slings through the top holes of the bundled panels, hoist them, and lower them into the container from the top (if using an Open Top container) or平移进入 (if using a standard container, with forklift assistance for guidance).
