The "coloring" of Bailey panels is essentially a professional anti-corrosion coating process for steel structures. Its core procedure consists of: thorough surface treatment (sandblasting/rust removal) → spraying high-performance anti-rust primer → spraying a weather-resistant topcoat in the specified color. The entire process must be strictly and standardly executed, with special attention paid to protecting the metal contact surfaces at connection points. This ensures both an aesthetically pleasing appearance and, more importantly, absolutely no compromise to the mechanical performance and safety reliability of the structure.
Critical mating surfaces must never be coated: Components such as pins, pinholes, male-female connectors of reinforced chords, and support frame mating surfaces must be kept free of paint! Typically, these areas are protected with specialized masking tape or stickers before painting. Applying paint to these surfaces can lead to loose or overly tight connections, severely impacting structural safety.
