After the construction is completed, a comprehensive inspection and necessary load tests must be carried out before the bridge can be put into use.
Precise calibration: High-precision instruments such as total stations are used to conduct the final calibration of the bridge's axis and elevation. Taking a deck-type temporary bridge as an example, the overall longitudinal profile error should not exceed 2 cm, and the lateral error should be ±2 cm.
Overall stability: Check whether all connection points are firm. If necessary, perform secondary tightening. Between each Bailey truss group, cross-connections should be made using channel steel to enhance the overall stability.
Load test: Before acceptance, a load test must be conducted. Through staged loading (such as using sandbags or vehicles), gradually increase the load, monitor the deformation of key parts of the bridge throughout the process, and check whether its strength and stability meet the design requirements.
