A support frame hole and a bolt hole of a chord bar are arranged in the middle of the reinforcing chord bar of the Bailey Bridge to connect the reinforcing chord bar with the upper and lower chord bars of the truss. The purpose of installing reinforced chord in Bailey bridge is to improve the bending ability of truss and give full play to the shear resistance of truss belly. Because the bending moment of the end of the bridge is very small, no reinforcement chord is needed for the head and tail truss. The beam is provided with 4 groups of clasps for limiting the position of the longitudinal beam, and short columns are welded at both ends for connecting the diagonal brace, and there are 3 concave eyes on the bottom surface of each end. When installing the beam, insert the concave eye into the bolt on the beam backing plate of the lower chord of the truss, so that the beam is in place on the truss.
The spacing of the concave eyes is the same as that of the trusses. After the beam is in place, the spacing of the trusses is relatively fixed. There is a convex head at the end of the rod, and the convex head of the rod is connected into the gap of the beam backing plate when the device is installed. The end of the suspended beam is hooked on the rectangular hole of the vertical rod of the truss, and then the supporting rod is turned by the rod to press and fix the beam. The beam jig cannot accept a large upward load, and when the beam is clamped with the jig, it is prevented from jacking up under the beam with a jack. The main structure consists of 3 meters long trusses connected by dowel, located on both sides of the carriageway, and the trusses are connected by beams, with two beams per truss.
The bridge deck is laid on the beam, and the end columns are provided at both ends of the bridge. The main girder through the end column is supported on the bridge seat (support) and the support plate, the bridge and the embankment can be connected with the approach bridge. The whole bridge is equipped with many connecting components such as diagonal braces, wind tie rods, support frames, and connecting plates, which make the bridge form a stable space structure. The main girder is connected by the trusses with doels. Its components are light and simple, good interchangeability, easy to disassemble and assemble, fast erection speed, and strong compliance. It is mainly used for the erection of single-span temporary Bridges.
