The main reusable components of the Bailey steel bridge after erection and dismantling:

Truss panels: These are the core load-bearing components of the Bailey bridge. They are made of high-strength steel and welded together, with standard pin holes at both ends. They can be connected and extended piece by piece and are the most important and frequently reused parts. As long as there is no structural damage (severe deformation, cracking, excessive corrosion), after inspection and necessary maintenance (such as rust removal and repainting), they can be repeatedly used to build new bridges.

Connecting pins and safety pins: These are used to connect truss plates, crossbeams and other components. They are sturdy steel pins and safety devices that are not prone to damage and are the easiest small parts to disassemble and reuse.

Cross beam (transverse bracing frame): Set up on the top of the truss plate, it is used to support the bridge deck. It has a solid structure and can be reused.

Bridge deck: It is usually steel grating or steel plates with anti-slip patterns. They are laid on the cross beams for vehicle passage. As long as there is no severe deformation or excessive wear, they can be easily removed and relaid on a new bridge.

Diagonal braces and wind-resistant tie rods: They are used to enhance the lateral stability and wind resistance of bridges. These tie rods and support members are also standard parts and can be reused.

Bridge abutment (support): A component used to transfer the load of a bridge to the foundation (bridge abutment). It is usually made of steel and can be reused.

End posts, truss bolts and other accessories: All kinds of standardized connecting parts and small accessories, as long as they are not damaged, can be reused.
