Upper Structure Assembly and Pushing (Taking Cantilever Pushing Method as Example):
Assembly Site Preparation: A flat site is required. For example, assembling a 54-meter bridge may require an assembly area of up to 60 meters in length and 8 meters in width, with the ground elevation approximately 10 cm higher than that of the abutment to facilitate pushing-2.
Main Bridge Assembly: Assemble Bailey beams sequentially to form the truss structure. High precision is required-such as maintaining the center-to-center spacing deviation of the main truss for a bottom-supported bridge within 2.5 mm-3.
Guide Girder (Nose Frame) Installation: Install the guide girder at the front end of the main bridge, designed to meet strength and stability requirements-3-4. The guide girder must be securely connected to the main bridge using dedicated connectors.
Pushing Operation: Use winches or excavators for traction to push the bridge forward on roller supports. Throughout the pushing process, lateral deviations must be continuously monitored and corrected promptly to ensure accurate alignment with the opposite abutment. The overall anti-overturning stability coefficient must also not be less than 1.3-3.
Bridge Lowering and Fixation: Once the bridge reaches its position, use jacks to lower it smoothly onto the bearings simultaneously; impact loading is strictly prohibited. Immediately after positioning, install U-shaped clamping limiters at the abutments to lock the bottom chord members and crossbeams together, preventing displacement-3.
